"Schema and Ontology Matching"
Pavel Shvaiko | Jérôme Euzenat
Pavel Shvaiko
Pavel Shvaiko is a third-year PhD student in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of Trento, Italy. His research interests include semi-automatic semantic matching among multiple conceptual and data models. He participated in several European, national, and industrial projects. Currently, he is intensively involved in the FP6 project Knowledge Web. In particular, he works on identifying knowledge processing tasks required by the industry needs and on aligning multiple ontologies as a solution to the semantic heterogeneity problem. He is the chair of the AAAI'05 workshop on “Contexts and Ontologies: Theory, Practice and Applications”. For further information please look at www.dit.unitn.it/~pavel.
Jérôme Euzenat
Jérôme Euzenat is senior research scientist at INRIA where he leads the Exmo team dedicated to computer-mediated exchanges of structured knowledge. He holds a PhD and habilitation in computer science from university Joseph-Fourier, Grenoble . He has contributed to, and published in, various domains including reasoning maintenance systems, object-based knowledge representation, symbolic temporal granularity and collaborative knowledge base construction. Jérôme Euzenat is now supervising the "Heterogeneity" work package of the Knowledge web network of excellence which aims at structuring the European research community in ontology alignment and merging.
